Votes for Women

From the Little Red Bird Press page:

"The year 2020 will mark the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment giving many women in the United States the right to vote. To honor this, Little Red Bird will be putting together a comic anthology sharing stories about the women's suffrage movement and its effects on America."

My piece for this project is a 10 page story titled "Asian Exclusion & The Voting Rights Act," which addresses racial discrimination and bias at the polls throughout American history. I also produced a single page illustration highlighting Rhoda Palmer and Charlotte Woodward Pierce, two vital figures from the suffrage movement.
